NTPC Q4 results: The government-owned power company NTPC Ltd has announced its financial results for the March quarter of the fiscal year 2024-25. The company’s consolidated net profit stood at ₹7,897.14 crore. This represents a growth of around 22% compared to the same quarter last year. This increase in profit indicates an improvement in the company’s operational performance.

NTPC’s Board of Directors has announced a final dividend of ₹3.35 per share for FY25.
This is 33.50% of the face value. It will be distributed after the approval of shareholders in the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). Earlier, the company had also issued two interim dividends – ₹2.50 per share in November and February.

Performance of NTPC Green Energy
NTPC’s renewable energy unit NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) also delivered a strong performance in the March 2025 quarter. The company recorded a net profit of ₹233.21 crore in this quarter, which is nearly three times the ₹80.95 crore in the same quarter of FY24. NGEL’s total expenditure stood at ₹444.63 crore, which was ₹425.84 crore a year ago.

In FY25, NGEL issued a new offering of 92.63 crore equity shares with a face value of ₹10 and raised ₹10,000 crore. These shares were listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Status of NTPC shares
NTPC’s shares closed at ₹344.60 on Friday with a gain of 0.94%. Over the past month, the shares have declined by 5.12%. However, so far in 2025, NTPC’s stocks have delivered a return of 3.28%. The company’s market cap stands at ₹3.34 lakh crore.
